For masjids and imams

Your community's rishta group, without the risks

Many masjids already run a rishta list or a WhatsApp group. On Wali Marriage a masjid can run that group inside the app instead: families post cards, parents talk first, a woman's card never shows her photo, name or city, and every introduction goes through her wali. It opens on 15 March 2027.

Who sees what in a masjid group?

Members see the cards, never each other. Only the group's owner and admins see who asked to join, and a woman only as her age. A wali posts his ward's card only after she agrees for that group, and a woman's card stays sealed for everyone: no photo, no name, no city. Nothing can be exported or forwarded.

How does an introduction work?

A family taps Request introduction on a card. It goes first to the wali who posted it, then to the woman herself, and only then becomes an ordinary interest, which she accepts and her wali approves before any conversation opens. The family that asked sees only pending or not taken further, never who declined.

Can the masjid send announcements?

Yes. The group's admins can post announcements, and members get at most one notification a day for each group; the lock screen never names the group. Members of a verified masjid group can also choose to show a Mosque community badge on their own card. It is off by default and never shows the masjid's name.

How does a masjid start a group?

Write to us from the contact page with the masjid's name and the person who will run the group. Our staff confirm that the masjid runs it before it is marked as a masjid group; that mark is set by us only. Groups open with the app on 15 March 2027.

How is this different from a WhatsApp group?

  • A woman's card is sealed for every viewer: no photo, no name, no city.
  • Members never see each other, so a phone number or a name cannot leak from the member list.
  • Cards are read live from each profile: a hidden, paused or deleted profile, or a withdrawn post, disappears from the group at once.
  • Nothing can be exported or forwarded from the app.
  • Every introduction passes through the woman and her wali before a conversation opens.
